features
A lot of new features have been requested. The list below shows a list of them.

The ability to easily select a folder, or folder hierarchy and view the fonts contained within -
Adobe Type1 Fonts Support
This is already supported natively by Windows 2000 and thus does not need to have Adobe Type Manager installed on your machine as you had to in older versions of Windows. -

Font Files Catalogue / Font Groups
Features for adding, editing and removing font files from a catalogue is needed. It must be used as a font reference, e.g. when you want a limited number of fonts installed on your system but still want to have some kind of attributes to match other fonts up against. It must be possible to add keywords to an entry and advanced searching for a font file is needed. -
Access to font groups from the system tray
It must be possible to install or uninstall font groups by right-clicking a icon in the tray bar and selecting the appropriate group. -

Added new printers to your system may influence on the number of available fonts even though they haven't been directly installed into your system. These fonts must be clearly marked as printer fonts and should render as intended. -
Handle Font Change Notifications
When new fonts are installed into the system, it should automatically reload its internal cache to represent the latest list of fonts. -
Browse installed fonts in same view
Some times, it's necessary to browse your installed fonts while looking at some fonts you have located in a folder with uninstalled fonts. It must be possible to add a filter on the views with a state like 'show installed fonts'. -

If you have many folders with fonts, you might want to check just a couple of these. A shell view where you are allowed to select which folders to use must be available. -
