ConquerCam is a low-priced
(
only $10 USD) easy to use webcam manager for grabbing images from your web
cam, preparing them with various effects and uploading them to your web site.
Using ConquerCam you are able to setup your computer as a security
system as well using the advanced motion detection and
mail-notification system included.
ConquerCam
has been designed from the ground and up with all Windows versions
in mind. The user-interface has been reviewed and modified by many
people to ensure top quality.
ConquerCam can be customized in
a variety of ways, e.g. by selecting how often
you want to grab and upload images, which overlay effects you want to use
(many of the well-known Adobe PhotoShop effects are available such
as Multiply or Darken) and unlimited numbers of
textual captions to put on your grabbed image using a bunch of
tags. Tags are replaced by dynamic data such as current
date/time, WinAMP title currently playing or the Swatch Internet
Time.
It's common to grab an image from a web cam, apply an overlay effect which
grey-out certain areas, add some text with a name of your web site and
a timestamp and finally FTP the prepared image to a web site. These kind of actions are in focus in ConquerCam and thus makes this application very useful, very fast.
Latest news
- December 30, 2004
I want to wish all ConquerCam users a happy new year.
The year of 2004 hasn't been a year with lots of updates to my
application and I'm sorry I haven't had the time to improve
ConquerCam. I hope I'm able to continue developing a bit more in
2005 and at least release a couple of new releases.
- January 14, 2004
The changes to the configuration file as well as
updating the video driver system takes a bit longer than
expected. I'm going through the final testing at the moment but
I have been having some issues I wasn't able to track down fast.
- September 20, 2003
Final beta of 2.7 released with a couple of error
corrections e.g. (re-)enabling of 'video compression' dialogs.
- August 10, 2003
A beta version of 2.7 has been released this evening. It
contains some bug fixes and is now using a completely new
interface to communicate with web cams. This will make
ConquerCam support more newer webcams and improves the streaming
capabilities for current cams as well. See the
download section if you would like to
take it for a testdrive.
- June 27, 2003
As you might know by now ConquerCam wasn't released after two
weeks as previous announced. My computer is now back on track so I
hope to be able to finish up 2.7 very soon now. I do not want to
give you a date but I hope it'll be sooner than later :)
- May 22, 2003
I have been a bit delayed with the release of my new ConquerCam
version. I'm in the progress of moving so I'm having some
problems finding all my stuff. I hope to have 2.7 out within two
weeks. That version will contain WDM support which usually makes
ConquerCam use lesser resources and in most cases gives a much
higher frame-per-second (FPS) rate.
A lot of
special features and a nice overall design makes ConquerCam stand out
from all other web cam software packages.
Many users says ConquerCam is better and more stable than well-known packages such as WebCam32 and ChilliCam; I
tend to agree but try it out for
yourself.
